About Bethany
Bethany Dawson is a certified Suzuki music teacher who loves working with Suzuki cello and violin students of all ages. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in music from Thomas Edison State University, New Jersey, and has completed multiple units of professional Suzuki teacher training.
Bethany is an active performer in the Tri-Cities area and has performed as a guest artist with the Paramount Chamber players, and in cello master classes with several artists, including Zuill Bailey and Moises Molina. She is resident cellist at Abingdon Presbyterian Church and manager of Dawson Wedding Musicians.
Bethany began studying cello at age six and violin at age nine with certified Suzuki teachers. Her teachers have included Dr. Jane MacMorran, Dr. Tim Mutschlecner, Cherylonda Fitzgerald, Dr. Beth Cantrell, and Kathleen Bowman. Bethany is pleased to be teaching the Suzuki method of music to others, as it has been a large and wonderful part of her life.
